A few weeks back, I headed down to the amazing Smythson’s store in Bond Street London, to celebrate the launch of the Mr Porter Paperback, Volume 2. I was a big fan of the first one, so it was interesting to see the type of content Jeremy Langmead and the Mr Porter team could pull together.
[one_half]The event was as expected, pretty luxurious to replicate the type of work Mr Porter produce. Beetroot salads, mini mince pies and stylish cocktails left me feeling fancy but hungry.
It’s not suprising to see that the original version of the book has already sold out over at Mr Porter, but I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the limited editions in collaboration with Smythsons at the event.
Only 500 limited edition, leather bound books were produced, and with a price tag of £150 it’s well worth it. The Smythsons black leather makes it one of the most elegant books I’ve owned, and the gold-edged pages really add to the detailing.
High five to Mr Porter, who yet again, produce something of real quality.
